Description:
This educational and research facility is a partnership of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge (the world's largest seabird refuge) and Kachemak Bay Research Reserve (a dynamic estuary). It features interactive exhibits on seabirds, oceanic, nearshore and watershed ecosystems, and the importance of islands and ocean to Alaskan wildlife and humans. Education programs include exhibit visits, labs and guided walks about seabirds, regional habitats and more.
