Title: Introduction to Marketing, Spring 2004
Url: https://dspace.mit.edu/bitstream/handle/1721.1/36826/15-810Spring2004/...
Creator: Hauser, John R.
Publisher: Sloan School of Management
Description: Professor John Hauser at MIT’s Sloan School of Management presents this online course as an “introduction to the theory and application of marketing.” The course draws on the five C’s of marketing - Customer needs, Company skills, Competition, Collaborators, and Context – and uses case studies and readings to “provide a mix of integrating concepts and hands-on problem solving.” Visitors may view the course syllabus, lecture notes, assignments, and projects, and seven of the readings (all authored by Professor Hauser) are available for free in the “Readings” section, while the rest of this section provides a ready-made bibliography for educators teaching their own introductory marketing course. Visitors may also download the whole course as a .zip file. This resource is also very helpful for students working towards a degree in any business or entrepreneurial enterprise, including hospitality, fashion merchandising and retailing, real estate, or landscaping.
