Description:
The Wilderness Awareness School is located in Washington, but offers courses in other regions as well. Here, visitors can sign up for the School's newsletter, The FoxDen, and the free NatureSkills Journal. Users may also try the School's free seven-day course, NatureWalk. The site contains sections for both adults and children/young adults. The "Nature Skills" section of the site provides detailed information and visual materials on such things as primitive skills (cordage, starting fire, moccasin making), wild food, plants and trees, birds, animal tracking and much more. This is a great resource for anyone interested in learning more about the study of nature.
