Description:
This is a case study presented by the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology where a 21-year-old man was presented after having a seizure. The case study provides neuroimaging as well as both gross and microscopic descriptions in order to allow the user the opportunity to diagnose the patient. Clicking on the final diagnosis link will provide users with a discussion of the actual diagnosis along with important learning points as well as a list of references. This is an excellent resource for students in health sciences to familiarize themselves with using patient history and laboratory results to develop a diagnosis. It is also a helpful site for educators to use to introduce or test student learning in neuropathology.
