Title: Sloan Digital Sky Survey - Galaxies
Url: http://skyserver.sdss.org/dr1/en/proj/advanced/galaxies/
Publisher: Sloan Digital Sky Survey
Description: This website provides the user with basic, and important, information about galaxies. it first introduces the Hubble Tuning Fork Diagram, by proposing the creation of a galaxy classification system. Then it explains the layout of the diagram, the position of each galaxy type in it and its characteristics; later asking the user to emulate it, using the SDSS data. The interaction between galaxies is also studied, by looking at galaxy clusters and, what is known as, Galaxy Cannibalism. Finally, it states the importance of the study of galaxy spectra, as they tell the properties of the star population in it.
